Multilateral Diplomacy & Strategic Communications
Produced 170+ meeting briefs to inform delegation strategies, drafted high-level statements for the Human Rights Council, and engaged in multilateral discussions to advance Maldives’ national priorities on human rights.
Note: I do not have permission to publicly share any reports or statements, as these are now official documents of the mission. However, H.E. Ambassador can provide a reference if needed.
In my role as a Human Rights Council Adviser with the Permanent Mission of the Maldives, I demonstrated strong communication and analytical skills by producing 170+ strategic meeting briefs and drafting high-level statements for key UN sessions.
These documents covered the 55th and 56th Human Rights Council sessions and the 45th and 46th Universal Periodic Review sessions, providing critical national priorities and analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
My role also involved drafting impactful statements on diverse human rights topics, engaging in informal diplomatic negotiations, and ensuring alignment with the Mission's objectives.
Additionally, I prepared briefing materials for high-level UN and WTO meetings, showcasing my ability to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively.
I also leveraged AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, training fellow advisers on their application. I developed a custom ChatGPT agent (available to all) that generated UN-style summaries from public session transcriptions, making key information more accessible.
