Helixid: Music Label
Helixid is a YouTube channel I created to produce audio-reactive videos for electronic music artists. What started as an experimental venture grew into a revenue-generating platform, reaching tens of thousands of subscribers and millions of views.
Helixid began as a college project in 2013, inspired by my love for electronic music and the Goa psytrance culture.
Originally named Hiltop Vibes, the channel was a place to experiment with audio-reactive visuals, creating immersive experiences for listeners. After gaining over 20K subscribers, the channel faced copyright challenges (got deleted by Youtube), leading to a rebrand as Helixid.
The project quickly grew, generating revenue through AdSense and building a community of artists and fans.
I collaborated with prominent YouTube channels in the electronic music space, and some videos went viral, amassing millions of views on YouTube and thousands of plays on SoundCloud.
At its peak, the channel’s Instagram following reached 12K, a notable milestone for such a niche project.
Though I couldn’t continue managing it due to copyright hurdles and time constraints, Helixid’s success opened doors to my first job in the industry.
With this I got experienced with Adobe after effects, photoshop, and social media promotions.
This project not only taught me about content creation and digital media but also connected me with emerging artists who are now established names in the music world.
